¡Vamos a la playa, por favor!

Well all, let me just say that I had an incredible weekend. On Friday I and a group of 20 students packed up our bags and got on a bus to Quepos-or more appropriately, la playa de Manuel Antonio! After a lovely three hour bus ride, we arrived in the small costal town of Quepos, a mere 4 kilometers from the national park in Manuel Antonio. Now, it was not all stars and butterflies...in fact, we had a rough time finding the hostel where we stayed because there was some confusion as to where we needed to be and where exactly it was; however, we did arrive and we spent a wonderful day at the beach! (Check facebook for pictures!) We saw all sorts of animals, including a three toed sloth, two types of monkeys, iguanas, and two raccoons that tried to make off with our food while we were at the beach. The sand was beautiful, the water was nice and cool, and I'm not too terribly sunburned (which is a real concern considering we're a bit closer to the sun here so near to the Equator). So overall it was an excellent time. The hostel was very nice...and for only twelve dollars a night you can put up with a few partying neighbors. Overall it was a wonderful time and we had a great experience.

Now, I must take a few moments to just praise God for being with us and working in our favor this weekend. There were so many times that things just seemed to work out, like when we first came into town and couldn't find the hostel there was a man who knew where our hostel was and gave us good directions to get there. Also, we were kind of stupid gringo tourists on our way back and didn't buy our tickets back to San Jose until the day we wanted to leave. The first thing we did was pray, and God sent us a man one of our group members had met the night before, and he helped us get on buses back to the city...it was a long and uncomfortable ride, but I made a some new Costa Rican friends...so overall a great experience and WOW when God works He really WORKS!!! We were taken care of.

So here I am, ready to end week two and do some homework, feeling blessed and cared for. Besides that, there's not much else to say!

A todo, tenga un buen dia.
